Description

A key role in the LNG Finance organization that will perform economic analysis for the current business and future growth while partnering with the business for strategy decisions. This role will also help create and administer processes and controls associated with a new line of business.

You may be eligible for the voluntary hybrid office work (HOW) program that is designed to provide employees with flexibility while maintaining the advantages of in-person engagement.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Leads the Port Arthur LNG outlooks and long-range plan; coordinate with the business for inputs ensuring all deadlines are met on a timely basis and allowing for adequate time for management review
  • Performs ad hoc economic analysis associated with Port Arthur LNG activities and potential expansions in alignment with COP’s Investment Appraisal approach
  • Develop, maintain, and run economic models, primarily using Excel
  • Act as the economic spokesperson for the business in meetings with peer review teams and managers
  • Respond to various inquiries and provide support to local management in decision-making and the understanding of business results and projections
  • Evaluation of options for shipping strategy and financial treatment
  • Assist in development and administering key financial controls for the new commercial LNG business
  • Communicates results and key activities to Commercial leadership

Qualifications


Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Other related business discipline or Foreign equivalent
  • 3+ years of economics experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Anticipates problems and makes decisions based on sound business principles

  • Communicates effectively, cultivate relationships and provides superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals

  • Identifies data relationships and analyzes complex or diverse information to develop alternative solutions
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on dedications by holding others accountable and standing up for what’s right

  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
