VCA Liberty Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (or Alabama LVT eligible) to join the team at our AAHA-accredited 5-doctor practice.

We are an AAHA accredited 5-doctor practice in Birmingham, Alabama. We see dogs, cats, and exotic species, offering a variety of services including Primary Care, Surgery, and Dentistry. We are certified Cat Friendly by the AAFP and support Fear Free practices. Enjoy mentorship and continuing education opportunities with us at our state-of-the-art, fast-paced hospital!

We are open Monday through Thursday 7am - 7pm, Friday 7am - 6pm, Saturday 7am - 12pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As LVT, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping
