The primary role of all Caring Hands Animal Hospital employees is to ensure that our clients and patients experience top-notch customer service and patient care. The Licensed Technician’s responsibilities include:
- Medical care of animals including advanced nursing care techniques, restraint, radiographs, phlebotomy, lab work, etc.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assist in medical, surgical and dental procedures
- Properly care for all surgical materials, maintain hospital equipment and controlled drug inventory, prepare and maintain the surgery room, ICU area, exam rooms and treatment areas
- Data entry via Electronic Medical Record system (AVImark)
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
- Client ducation
- Maintain a clean and orderly facility
- Partner with individual team members to maintain a positive work culture
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support the veterinarian

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communication skills, and teamwork abilities
- Strong computer skills
- Must hold a current VA Veterinary Technician License
HOURS / WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time position available. We offer flexible work schedules. We're closed on Sundays!
All potential new hires are required to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
COMPENSATION
Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $25/hour
