Calhoun County jail is now operating under new medical management.
We are currently looking for a few more team members:
Full time RNs and LPNs for both Day and Night shifts as well as
Part Time and PRN staff for all shifts.
Pay LPNs $27/hr. RNs $32/hr.

*Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.*

• Respond and intervein to all emergency situations
• Conduct Patient Intake paperwork & Assessments
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
• Conduct Sick Call clinic
• Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy
• Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations
• Complete and document ordered treatments, assessments, and collection ordered labs
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit
• Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition
• Accurately document all patient information, nursing assessments and interventions
• Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Assist with training and orientation of new personnel
• Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:*
*Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School*
*Current and valid LPN or LVN license*
*Current CPR*
*Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as as LPN. One year experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.*
