Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Level II Rolling Model Engineer includes but is not limited to installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving software systems. The selected individual(s) will be part of the maintenance team working with the production teams to improve safety, quality, costs, reliability, and productivity throughout the facility. Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays, and weekends
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience
- Minimum 2 years with mill setup applications and software in all aspects of hot and/or cold sheet rolling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hot and/or cold sheet rolling process and modeling software development experience
- Knowledge of database and programming technologies including SQL, Oracle, C#, C++
- Predictive analysis model development experience
