Leasing Agent (Conventional Lease-up!)

This Leasing Agent opportunity is a full time, temporary role that is expected to span approximately 4 months beginning in March 2022. This candidate will be a key player in the launch of a brand-new luxury apartment community located in the District’s trendy Brookland neighborhood.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing a lease up of a brand-new luxury apartment community and achieving leasing closing ratio goals
  • Presenting the available apartments in a friendly and knowledgeable fashion
  • Understanding the community and its amenities, rents, and specials - as well as those of the community’s competitors
  • Handling all aspects of leasing apartments, including greeting prospective residents, following up with prospects, scheduling, and hosting tours of the community, processing applications, preparing leases, and closing the sale
  • Assisting in generating traffic through active participation in the community's marketing strategy
  • Maintaining activity reports by recording new prospect traffic daily
  • Assisting with coordination and maintaining the community's customer base with an effective resident retention program
  • Processing move-ins and move-outs
  • Helping with completing work orders for maintenance staff
  • Representing the company in a professional manner
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Community Manager

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience as a luxury leasing consultant, preferred
  • High level expertise with lease ups
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • One-Site knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work any 7 days of the week including at least 3 weekends per month
