Job Description


I. General Summary

  • Under general supervision coordinates learning and organizational development efforts. Coordinates smooth operation of the Learning Center and general orientation for new employees. Supports Learning and Organizational Development staff and programs.

II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

  • Coordinates Learning Management System (Healthstream), creates courses and classes, creates and maintains student groups, manages users, tracks registration, and sets up reports.
  • Serves as the primary contact to the vendor. Administers all on-line learning delivery and tracking for UMMC/UMMS.
  • Assists with learning survey administration, including sending communications, data collection and producing survey results

Qualifications


III. Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Two years providing administrative support in a learning and OD environment and knowledge of basic learning principles is required.
  • One year working with a Learning Management System is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Highly proficient knowledge of computer equipment and various graphics, word processing, spreadsheet, database, publishing and project management software packages. Proficient typing ability is required.
  • Ability to use various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate A/V equipment, and other office equipment (i.e. fax, photocopy machine).
