Position Summary:
As a member of the Poise Product Research and Engineering (R&E) team you will develop and implement new product, process, material or technology concepts. The Scientist for this role will provide guidance and leadership in product development for products focused in KCNA. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a broad range of cross-functional team members.


Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  • Lead product development efforts for single or multiple projects from up-front exploration and into commercialization
  • Lead development and execution of product design strategies to deliver desired consumer benefits while ensuring alignment with encompassing business strategies and goals
  • Lead development of product key milestones, budget, timeline, and resource forecast for assigned projects
  • Manage development and lead execution of learning plans in conjunction with Marketing Research and Innovation Testing teams
  • Ensure development and execution of product specification and quality plans appropriate for phase of project
  • Facilitate discussions with marketing and the brand design team regarding claims and aesthetics
  • Provides mentorship to junior members of the product development team.
  • Communicate and document project plans and results to key customers.
  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of research principles, scientific analysis, and project management.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in related major scientific or engineering discipline. May also include other relevant disciplines (i.e., Psychology, Nursing, and Sociology)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments
  • Experience in product development and/or technology development
  • Experience in executing consumer and/or technical/scientific studies
  • Demonstrated strengths in: scientific experimentation methods, analysis and planning/organizing, reading and comprehension of technical literature
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes
