Job Description

The Workforce Planning Product team is part of Consumer & Community Banking Operations Management and is responsible for developing an integrated data management, Advanced Analytics Platform and reporting process that supports the successful execution of CCB Operations business objectives.

This role requires the ability to communicate information concisely, both verbally and in presentation form, and the ability to work closely with Senior Management to provide an insights of Product development and features. This role would be accountable for automating Workforce Planning functions, seamless data integration with operational systems and deploying self-service reporting, advanced analytics & dash boarding capabilities and help deploy improved simulations, and forecasting/scheduling models to production. This role brings the critical skill-set to these functions on new technology platforms, map and prioritize them based on business priorities and execute on them in partnership with the JPMC Technology partners in a collaborative manner.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coaches and mentor's members of the team
  • Thought leader in Cloud & Data Science Platforms
  • Designs, analyzes, develops, reviews, tests, debugs, delivers, and supports software and/or new products
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development which may include working in Agile frameworks & DevOps practices(CI/CD)
  • Collaborate with all JPMC lines of business. Focus on delivering results, prioritizing needs while dealing with ambiguity
  • Participate in the detailed technical design and implementation of machine learning applications using existing and emerging technology platforms
  • Partner with data science teams to move models into production and setup model monitoring
  • Partner with developer, engineering teams to create production training pipeline and inference workflows.
  • Helps set strategic direction for the team
  • May be responsible for talent acquisition
  • Cultivates trust through personal and team relationships with a range of Product Owners
  • Mentors and develops to high level of performance; shares tacit knowledge gained from experience
  • Engages with technology and business leadership to evolve architectural principles and ensure alignment with technology solutions with these principles
  • May include direct accountability for people management and financial budgeting

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
  • 12+ Years of Software development with proficiency in one or more modern programming languages with hands on Java/J2EE/Spring Framework, REST Web services
  • Expertise in Performance testing tools such JMeter and Blazemeter
  • Expertise in Testing Frameworks such as Junit, AssertJ, and Mockito
  • High Working proficiency in developmental toolsets such as Eclipse/Intellij, Jenkins/Jules, GIT, and Maven build
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of Public and Private Cloud development and deployment including Kubernetes containers and/or AWS EKS
  • Ability to work in large, distributed teams, conduct software analysis, develop technical designs, develop high quality code, test, debug, write automated tests, deliver and maintain highly scalable and distributed applications using Java & J2EE, Messaging - JMS, Apache Kafka
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture and keen on prioritizing adoption of non-functional requirements such as implementation of Dynatrace monitoring and Splunk alerting
  • Demonstrate experience of making trade-offs between schedule, resources, model performance...etc.
  • Experience in ETL pipelines, both batch and real-time data processing.
  • Cloud computing: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Service, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience in big data technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep learning architectures e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM etc. Expert in at least one of the following areas: Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Reinforcement Learning, Ranking and Recommendation, or Time Series Analysis.
  • Leverage cloud-based architectures and technologies to productionize ML models at scale
