As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers that pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.

This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position may be eligible for a (hybrid) telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the Launch Performance Analysis (LPA) team.
  • Identify issues (contractual, programmatic, and technical), facilitate working relationships between engineering and the operators, and ensure consistency in support across the Ranges.
  • Manage LPA team and set goals/performance measurements.
  • Oversee, measure, and assess support to the contract performance objectives.
  • Make work assignments to ensure a sufficient number of qualified personnel are available to meet schedules and responsibilities.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure delivery of products on time in accordance with LISC requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues and handle escalation and communication to management.
  • Maintain customer relationships and provide presentations to the customer.
  • Develop progress/status reports and support program management reviews (PMR) and other Government reviews as needed.
  • Guides LPA team in preparing reports for the government and external Users.
  • Interfaces with team members and stakeholders in order to ensure status and expectations are managed.
  • Facilitate support within the organization to ensure compliance with LPA tasks and deliverables.
  • Organize team members across multiple departments to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives. Participates in work as applicable.
  • Responsible for enforcing work standards, schedules, reviewing work performance, supervising personnel, communicating policies and company goals.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an engineering, data analysis, or related technical discipline
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Prior leadership experience preferred

  • Demonstrates understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

The salary range for this role is $89,000 to $146,370; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
