Summary: Seeking a skilled Laser Operator with aerospace experience to set up and operate CNC machines for cutting and fabricating metallic parts, based on blueprints and specifications.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to use measuring instruments and interpret blueprints.
• Prior CNC operator experience is helpful.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs.
• Strong math skills, including decimals, percentages, fractions (geometry and trigonometry is a plus).
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses and footwear.

Responsibilities:

• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on materials.
• Set up CNC machine with appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Adjust machine controls to regulate machining factors.
• Monitor machine operation for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Perform trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining issues.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear required safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
