General Duties:

• Oversee water management activities for the Company’s entire portfolio of accounts
• Team with Area Managers to perform site walkthroughs to evaluate existing irrigation systems and identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead a team of Irrigation Technicians
• Perform irrigation inspections and oversee management of irrigation programs
• Create reports detailing irrigation schedules, zone maps, and meter readings
• Act as a liaison for irrigation and water management matters across all departments
• Collaborate with Company management to identify and implement opportunities to drive water conservation and optimize plant health
• Assist Area Managers and Construction Department with irrigation design and sales
• Lead hands-on training and support for company team members.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in commercial irrigation management
• Ability to operate, program, and repair all types and brands of irrigation controllers
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigations systems of all sizes and brands from the point of connection to the final distribution portal; including 2-wire systems, hydraulic, pump stations, backflow preventers, sub meters, and sub-surface irrigation
• Knowledge of electrical concepts and ability to troubleshoot electrical problems
• Ability to operate electrical troubleshooting equipment including multi-meters, locators, toners, etc.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and irrigation system design
• Ability to read and understand irrigation plans
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in business software programs and tools e.g. Microsoft Office
• A valid Driver's License. Must be insurable by our insurance carrier.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong conflict resolution and critical-thinking skills
• CLCA Certified Water Manager and / or Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor highly preferred
• Certified Backflow Tester preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

This role reports to the Company President.
