As a valued team member you are responsible for landscape installation and maintenance of commercial and residential properties. Your duties will also include installation of hardscaping , irrigation and drainage systems as well as fence and railing installation. Tasks that you will be asked to perform in support of the responsibilities listed above are listed below.

• Performs manuel labor
• Performs manual and machinery work in preparing surfaces for Landscape construction.
• Lifts heavy weight such as rocks, bags of concrete, wood, mulch, block, pavers, and other materials used in landscape, irrigation and fence construction
• Utilizes wheelbarrow to move heavy loads
• Loads and unloads material and debris from trucks
• Operates equipment such as Mini Skid Steer, Mini excavator, Auger, Concrete saw, plate compactor, Tiller, Hydro Seeder,Trencher, jack hammer, cut off saw, tile saw, Lawnmower, and Trimmer
• Lays Sod and sprays hydro seed to establish grass
• Digs trenches by hand or machine to help install irrigation or drain systems
• Cuts turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a edger/trimmer, and a powered blower
• Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches.
• Plants trees, shrubs and other plants
• Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe.
• Builds retaining walls with retaining wall block
• Digs holes for post and installs wood, steel, or aluminum fences.
• Installs patio railing
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customer
• Must uphold company policies, procedures, and company core values at all times
• Other duties as assigned as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Schertz, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
