ADB is seeking a Laborer I to join our wireline team and provide basic level manual laborer. This position will assist in the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides basic level laborer functions including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, learning equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, etc. on various safety sensitive utility construction sites
- Supports the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
- Safety is the expectation, always follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties
- Trains alongside experience construction crews learning fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
- Assists in identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process
- Performs other position duties when requested
