We are hiring a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in Ewing, NJ.

Job Description:

• Receive packages containing clinical specimens, which include diagnostic specimens for testing to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA
• Open the packages
• Ensure that information on test requisition form matches the information on the specimen container
• Process specimens (if required)
• Accession specimens
• Input data from test requisition forms into the laboratory information management system
• Distribute all received specimens to testing units by the end of each workday
• Store specimens (if required)
• Support other Client Services Units such as Data Entry, Central Services, Materials Management, & Field Deployable Laboratory units, and/or special projects, such as Managed Print Services Program, Laboratory Coat Program, Specimen Receiving space design, data gathering, and analysis.

Skills required:

• Vaccinations Required: Rabies and Hepatitis B.

Education and Experience required:

• Successful completion of 60 semester hour credits from an accredited college or university which shall have included 24 semester hour credits in the biological and/or physical sciences.

NOTE: Successful completion of a certificate program in Clinical Laboratory Technology may be substituted for the above education.

NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required credits or certificate in Clinical Laboratory Technology may substitute two (2) years of experience as a technician in a public health, hospital, clinical, or research laboratory performing bacteriological, chemical, histological, serology, and/or virological tests.

Work hours:

• 9:00AM – 5:00PM (negotiable)
• Lunch Hours- 1 hour (unpaid)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 5x8
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ewing, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
