Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing routine patient care duties such as collecting blood specimens at all laboratory sites. Duties include detailed specimen handling and performing a limited scope of technical duties in compliance with State and Federal regulations under the direction of the laboratory section supervisor the Laboratory Manager and the Medical Director of the Laboratory. Other duties include detailed specimen handling and performing a limited scope of technical duties in compliance with State and Federal regulations insurance verification offering patients financial assistance cashiering and patient registration when assigned to satellite laboratory such as Belmont clinic.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • One year of full-time clinical hospital laboratory phlebotomy experience (including venous arterial and capillary puncture techniques) within the last two years.
  • Two years laboratory experience preferred.
  • One year of full-time clinical hospital laboratory phlebotomy experience (including venous arterial and capillary puncture techniques) within the last two years.
  • Two years laboratory experience preferred.
  • Current California State Clinical Phlebotomy License required.

  • Completion of annual safety training. Completes and maintains required unit specific training. This position requires knowledge in basic human anatomy physiology and medical terminology as it applies to the laboratory. Pay Range
$30.32 - $35.87 /hour
