Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager facilitates daily operations associated with Dartmouth Cancer Center laboratory startups, dispositions, and facilities maintenance.

Experience
  • High school degree or the equivalent
  • Two plus years of office experience or financial transaction processing and record-keeping

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years’ experience in a laboratory setting with familiarity of scientific equipment or
  • Two years’ experience in facilities management

Description
Facilities:
  • Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager facilitates installation of large laboratory equipment and power sourcing needs.
  • Owns and manages the DH engineering and Geisel facilities work order process.
  • Under the supervision of the Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager facilitates and maintains database of space allocations and provides regular and consistent reporting to the Geisel Dean’s Office.
  • Under the supervision of the Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager works with local and national moving companies to facilitate local and cross-country laboratory moves. Will also facilitate laboratory breakdowns and disposition.

Finance:
  • Works with Dartmouth Cancer Center Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager to obtain, track, and reconcile documentation related to purchases for laboratories.
  • Owns and manages the procurement card reconciliation process and e-form submissions.
  • Works with DCC and Dartmouth Health entities to facilitate billbacks for laboratory purchases.
  • Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager places orders for the startup of new laboratories.
  • Works with DCC Finance to request and follow through on all laboratory start up purchase order requests.
  • Supports requests for information and quote processes for new laboratories startup.

Description
Communication:
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for inquiries to the office. Responds to inquires and provides information or refers to appropriate individual to address the needs of the inquiry.
  • Works with Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC) Laboratory Administrative and Facilities Operations Manager to maintain communication with lab updates, grant information, and billing cycles for procurement.
  • Prepares and distributes flyers, posters, and mass mailings to publicize department activities such as trainings.
  • Communicates respectfully with a diverse community.
