Lab Assistant - Per Diem Job at Covenant Physician Partners
We are hiring a PRN Lab Assistant to join our team at our pathology lab as part of Arizona Centers For Digestive Health in Gilbert, Arizona.
Arizona Centers for Digestive Health (AZCDH) is looking for a PRN Lab Assistant to join our pathology lab team in Gilbert, AZ.
Hours are 4:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
About the Opportunity
As the Lab Assistant, you will assist with paraffin embedding for biopsy specimens to prepare for microscopic evaluations by the pathologist for surgical cases. You will assume responsibility for the quality of the tissue slides, following technical and quality control procedures. You will be responsible for documentation and may also assist with grossing.
In this role you will work closely with leaders who have grown their careers with AZCDH and are passionate about maintaining the high standards and quality of patient outcomes.
About the Candidate
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Previous laboratory / histology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree, or at least 60 semester hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited college or university
- Previous experience with grossing
- Previous experience with paraffin embedding for biopsy specimens
