Job Summary:
Works under the direction of the Value Stream Manager to perform liaison duties for the Production Control Department concerning other departments and/or manufacturing areas. Establishes, coordinates, and monitors production schedules based on customer requirements to achieve the goals of the production plan.
Confer with and coordinate with Production Coordinator and Supervisors any difficulties or delays in meeting the master schedule and/or shipping the customer product. Communicates and coordinates with Sales, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Purchasing Departments to ensure the master schedule is maintained in a timely and validated manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential):
1. Use planning expertise in handling rush orders, new priorities, schedule, quantity changes, cancellations, and other determining factors affecting the production and shipping schedule of Company products.*
2. Review reports daily using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), and the Crosby Projected Inventory Balance (PIB).*
3. Report major irregularities to the Production Coordinator and assist where possible to initiate corrective measures.*
4. Prepare, monitor, and validate progress reports and other pertinent information in daily functions of planning; notify areas of priorities as conditions change.*
5. Learn to use coding of lead times and assigning of products involved.*
6. Proficiency in utilizing the computer system in maintaining order quantities, release, completion dates, and other related data.*
7. Read and review the Crosby Group stocking levels in the PIB.*
8. Responsible for scheduling products ran within the facility
9. Prepare and issue schedules to appropriate people in manufacturing areas to assemble parts and components.*
10. Adjusts the production schedule to meet unforeseen conditions or delays.*
11. Works under guidelines established through departmental functions.*
12. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote productivity and processes.*
Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.):

  • 2 years of experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)/Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), or master scheduling in a manufacturing environment and shop floor control.
  • 2 years of experience working with bill of materials, routings, and prints.
  • Operational Excellence experience.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Travel is required occasionally (driving/flying).
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Knowledge of product line preferred.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED. Continuing education/self-development as necessary.
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
Normal office conditions. Office is located in a two-story building. Job demands may require long periods of sitting, telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving and/or traveling.
Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
