What you'll do:

As a Kitchen Manager in Training, you'll learn the duties of a Kitchen Manager, while training at a variety of our locations. You will work closely with various members of our Store and Field teams to learn how to:

  • Prepare quality menu items daily: Along with the Food Service Director, construct/create seasonal menus and develop recipes in accordance with set margins. Increase food sales by increasing customer foot traffic, evening and weekend business.
  • Assist in ensuring excellent customer service: Set and maintain the highest level of customer service. You will mentor and train all kitchen team members. Daily on the job training will be critical.
  • Understand all information in the daily reporting of operations: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for maintaining strict inventory levels and participating in weekly/monthly inventory. You will need to place bulk kitchen orders accurately, on time, and within set budgets as well as track daily food shrink/loss.
  • Maintain quality brand and image standards: Ensure all food is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner. Implement monthly promotions, ensure all point-of-sale advertising and signage is properly posted at proper time.
  • Prioritize Safety: You must follow and enforce all safety and security protocols and report any/all unsafe conditions. Adhere and enforce proper dress code at all times

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced. We need a Kitchen Manager in Training who has handled similar work. You might be a fit if you've held titles such as: Kitchen Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, Line Cook, Chef, Food Service Worker, Restaurant Manager, etc.
  • Knowledgeable. You should have experience in the food industry. A bonus would be experience in creating menus, training staff, and tracking shrink/loss. A high school diploma or GED is required, being ServSafe certified is a bonus. This leadership position requires you to oversee all other kitchen staff.
  • Highly organized. This position requires exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills. You should be able to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented. Excellent organizational skills, careful planning, and attention to detail are crucial. It is up to you to implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the kitchen is clean, efficiently run, and following all procedures and regulations.
  • A great communicator. As the Kitchen Manager in Training, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal team member skills. You will need to supervise, motivate, encourage, challenge and discipline kitchen employees.
  • Tech-savvy. You will need to be adept with computers and able to complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by Management.
  • Passionate. You should have a passion for brand and cultivating community. A passion for food, and an exceptional cup of coffee, alongside the desire to inspire people to visit and return to our convenience store is a must.

Job Types: Full-time.

Salary Range: $19-$22 per hour depending on skills, education, and experience. Additional monthly bonus potential.
