Junior Clubhouse Manager

The Orinda Country Club has an opening for a full-time Junior Clubhouse Manager. The hours will vary from 30 – 40 hours each week. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. The pay range is between $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.

The Junior Clubhouse provides supervision to our member's children so our members can utilize the Club. Our Junior Clubhouse is a place within the Club where children are entertained with books, art, and toys under adult supervision. The ideal candidate ensures a safe and caring environment for children while parents are on the Club’s premises.

Candidates must have a personality that shines and creates member confidence. The Junior Clubhouse Manager will provide good communications with Members. Child safety and welfare are of extreme importance. The ability to influence positive self-concepts in children is highly regarded.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Jr. Clubhouse email and respond to Member requests for reservations, billing questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain a detailed calendar of reservations, cancellations & special requests.
  • Determine staff schedules based on reservations and requests.
  • Monitor and order supplies as needed.
  • Observe and monitor the activities of all children in the Junior Clubhouse.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities, as appropriate.
  • Read to children, teach simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs,
  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
  • Support social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts with all children.
  • Sanitize toys and play equipment.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel are allowed in the Junior Clubhouse.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures of the Junior Clubhouse are followed by Staff, children, and the Parents.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some pre-school or day care experience is desired.
  • Patience and creative energy to work with children as well as a high tolerance for childhood behaviors.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work with children and parents.
  • Physical stamina to care for groups of energetic young children.
  • CPR/AED Certified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
