Matthew Noah would like to build relationships with Java Developers for a long-term remote contract for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for coding and developing applications to agency standards, utilizing the Java framework, and coordinating with DB2 databases and Linux environments. Additionally, the candidate will be required to document their work and provide Information System Contingency Plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Coding and developing applications using Java and adhering to agency standards.
  • Coordination with DB2 databases and Linux environments.
  • Documentation of application work, including Information System Contingency Plans.
  • Supporting large web-based applications in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in coding and developing Java applications.
  • 8 years of experience with DB2 (or similar) databases.
  • 8 years of experience in a Linux environment.
  • 2 years of experience developing using Agile/Scrum SDLC.
  • 2 years of experience with the Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA.
  • 2 years of experience supporting large web-based applications in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience developing using Agile/Scrum SDLC.
  • 2 years of experience with the Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA.
  • 2 years of experience supporting large web-based applications in a collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $64.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:
