Our IT Support Specialist is responsible to provide technical support to company employees on IT systems including computers and accessories, software systems, phone systems, mobile scan guns, printers/copiers, label printers, etc. You will provide on site support in our Elgin IL office and remote support to other team members, with on site support assistance available in our Knoxville TN office.

Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot company laptop and desktop computer issues.
  • Conduct basic network troubleshooting procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Honeywell mobile scan guns (Android-based).
  • Provide support for company software, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications and other common desktop software.
  • Provide support for printers/copiers and label printers including driver installation, basic troubleshooting, and working with 3rd party support providers as necessary.
  • Handle user account requests such as passwords resets, etc
  • Manage technical requests and incidents in company IT ticket system.
  • Prepare and maintain IT systems documentation.
  • Set up and configure computers and other IT equipment according to company specifications.
  • Complete onboarding and offboarding requests for hardware and software systems.
  • Replace aging hardware over time according to company device refresh processes.
  • Maintain patch management system for company software.
  • Use remote monitoring systems to proactively identify potential issues and follow these issues through to resolution.
  • Order supplies and accessories as needed and coordinate with IT manager for more significant purchase requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to employees, in line with established company culture.
  • Communicate with employees in non-technical language regarding technical issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of supported hardware and software systems.
  • Be prepared to take on new IT functions that may come up over time in a fast-paced, fast-growing company.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Full Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Range (Based off experience)

$50K - $60K

EARN MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY BONUSES!

Requirements:


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2 years of IT support experience required working in a IT supportive role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good follow up skills
  • Proficiency in administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Infor experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with remote management a plus
