Title: IT Manager
Salaried/Exempt/Full-Time
Onsite/Remote/Supports Multiple Locations

The IT Manager reports directly to the President and will be responsible for researching and planning for implementation of the most recent technologies in the industry. The IT Manager will develop the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for advancing internal and/or external facing technology products and services. This position will manage service lifecycle, projects, and associated products, by managing external IT groups and business partners to deliver improvements and measure the value of services delivered. This position will continually monitor progress and measure results to ensure IT capabilities are delivering expected benefits and remain aligned to business/IT strategy.

The IT Manager is expected to exhibit individual leadership as a role model for maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct. The IT Manager is to set the standard and be an example for others. The IT Manager will earn individual respect and increase the IT department’s credibility with those we serve by being ethical in every professional interaction.

  • Develop strong relationships with management and onsite teams throughout the company to develop understanding of business strategies and align IT service strategy and operations
  • Manage internal and external resources, including vendor/professional services/agency staff that consist of varying functions, skill, and level
  • Identify issues that impede success within IT department; work with key stakeholders to develop a plan to change or resolve issues
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions;
  • Communicate regularly with executive management on information technology;
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions;
  • Develop and maintain system standards;
  • Develop best practices and written documentation for all IT support;
  • Oversee the provisioning of the end-user services;
  • Oversee the organization’s network systems at both the corporate headquarters and remote community locations;
  • Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations;

Requirements:

  • 10 years of information technology.
  • 3 years of IT Management experience.
  • Property management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the senior living industry is preferred.
  • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver results within established timeframes is a must.
  • Oral communication; speaks persuasively and clearly in all situations.
  • Personal credibility; unquestioned commitment to integrity in personal and professional activities, and a deep appreciation for the confidential nature of our business.
  • Flexible schedule when needed.
  • Occasional travel within the region will be required.
  • Must have knowledge of computers and basic software applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook and where appropriate, property management software (e.g. Yardi).
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide support to and assist other staff members.
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license.
