Care Initiatives is now hiring an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team.

This full-time position is a great entry-level opportunity for someone with exceptional customer service communication skills. Our IT Informatics Department is located in West Des Moines just a few miles from our Corporate Office and proudly supports our 50+ Iowa locations.

Duties:
  • Provide phone/email support to employees with strong troubleshooting abilities to assist with technical support
  • Use on hand resources to problem solve independently and find resolutions for employees
  • Ability to show strong customer service skills
  • Provide clear communication and follow up on incidents to ensure that they get solved
  • Document incidents fully to prevent re-work by support staff
  • Ability to manage work independently, escalating when needed to appropriate teams or leadership
  • Potential periodic travel to locations in Iowa to provide technical support
Minimum Skill Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of high-volume/fast paced customer service experience
  • Strong verbal written communication skills
  • 2 year AA degree or higher education completed
Preferred Skills:
  • General knowledge of common helpdesk practices; IT systems, operating systems, and desktop support
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
