SUMMARY

Support all aspects of data operations with the IT Helpdesk and client machines. Maintain client operating systems, business applications, security tools, PCs, and local and wide area networking. Supervise, support and train Help Desk personnel.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve user problems and requests with computer equipment, peripherals, communication devices, connectivity and business software.
  • Maintain inventory system of client laptop/desktop pcs.
  • Perform staff scheduling to ensure Help Desk coverage during normal business hours (7:30 am - 5:30 pm M-F)
  • Monitors Help Desk System and follows up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of problems and/or escalation
  • Ensures that decisions made to improve the overall customer support of the Help Desk are continually carried through
  • Coordinates training requirements of Help Desk personnel
  • Recommend new company hardware and software for client machines
  • Provides leadership by projecting a positive attitude, and providing learning incentives
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request/maintain AD and M365
  • Monitors and maintains client-based security posture through Microsoft Defender 365.
  • Manage and maintains vulnerability and OS patching.
  • Support all aspects of data operations as needed, including backup to other I.T. staff
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2-3 years IT Helpdesk experience
  • Strong problem-solver with deadline and closure skills.
  • Self-starter, professional appearance, interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple, changing priorities.
  • Willing to work evenings or weekends as required.
  • Strong commitment to ethical behavior and preserving confidentiality.
  • Good understanding and experience using TCP/IP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls and VPN.
  • Good understanding and experience using, configuring and troubleshooting NT domains, Windows PC's and servers.
  • Takes initiative for personal development and outside training
  • Offers suggestions and participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Self-motivated and able to work with no supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with department managers, employees, customers, and professional colleagues

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Completion of I.T. educational program or minimum 3 years of employment experience in the field.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

  • Able to climb stairs and carry up to 40lbs
