Description:

VSolvit LLC is currently seeking a IT Helpdesk Specialist (SEC+ NAVY Support). In this role, you will be part of a team providing 24x7x365 on-site operations support for our Navy customer at NBVC Pt. Hueneme. As a IT Helpdesk Specialist (SEC+ NAVY Support) you will perform the following tasks:

  • Service Desk Support and Incident Management Services
  • Process Monitoring Services
  • Facility Management and Physical Security Services
  • Quality Assurance Support


Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Tier I support by email, walk-in or phone call
  • Proactively maintain, review, disseminate information to NAVFAC CIO Help Desks and Worldwide customers
  • Guide and provide assistance to customers, coordinate and determine approach for resolution. Document, monitor, receive, detail, report, analyze, escalate, resolve, and track customer requests for support
  • Monitor processes, applications and services to ensure required availability and support based on defined organization requirements
  • Monitor facility environmental controls (security, fire, power, HVAC, halon and water detection), initiating actions to resolve control alarms/alerts, and providing facility assistance as needed
  • Support processes, policies and procedures, research and reporting, test plans and scripts, user guides and metrics related to Quality Assurance
  • Updating and maintain SOPs, policies and procedures

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Sciences/Information Systems OR experience of 2+ years performing help desk in a corporate environment
  • 3+ years experience communicating technical information to non-technical personnel
  • 3+ years experience in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
  • Current IAT Level II certification, CompTIA Security+
  • Current/Active Secret Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ corporate helpdesk support
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Open to working various or alternating shifts
