Jersey college is seeking an Entry Level - Help Desk candidate to provide information technology support for assigned campuses at Jersey College. The individual is responsible for assisting end-users with their technology needs, managing and administrating our internal servers, intranet sites, and extranet sites, and assessing future information technology needs and system requirements.

Position: Entry Level - Help Desk

Essential Functions:

  • Management of IT Network
  • Oversight of IT Training
  • Management of Helpdesk Services
  • Supervising Emerging Technologies Analysis
  • Oversee, install, manage and maintain Jersey Colleges information technology network, including:
  • Supervise training of faculty, staff, and students with respect to information technology, including
  • Administrator the function of help desk services to faculty, staff, and students including:
  • Manage and ensure the operational integrity of information technology equipment
  • Evaluate the relevance of emerging technology and make recommendations on technology to be incorporated throughout the institution
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT/Help Desk experience
  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Cisco, TCP/IP protocols, and LAN/WAN configurations
  • Industry Standard IT Certifications are a plus
