Job Title: Irrigation Technician
Non-Exempt - Hourly Range: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Reports to: Water Manager
Division: Water Management

Job Description:

The Irrigation Technician is a challenging and fast-paced position. WHY? UVETS is committed to monitoring and forecasting water usage at our client’s properties. Water Management is one of our unique(s). We use cutting edge, state of the art technology to better monitor and maintain the system. As a result, we reduce water usage and drive cost savings for our valued customers. Job Requirements:

• Conduct initial assessments, inspections, and repairs on properties
• Identify areas of improvement in irrigation systems
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems to determine repair needs
• Gather, update and analyze data for each account regarding water sources, points of connection, mainline location, services performed, parts installed and water usage

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

• Thorough knowledge of the industry
• Proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Service and teamwork-oriented

Work Environment:

• Irrigation Technician will spend up to 85% of the time at work sites

Position Type and Expected Hours of work:

• The Irrigation Technician will be paid on an hourly basis
• 40+ hours weekly
• Pay will be issued on a bi-weekly basis

Required Education and Experience:

• Irrigation Technician License issued by TCEQ
• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
