General Summary
The First Shift Inventory/ Wave Planner Clerk is responsible for researching and resolving issues affecting waving orders and research in WMS that would ensure accuracy in inventory control. This position will also support other inventory and wave planning functions including cross training in either area. This includes maintenance and validation of inventory as it relates to on hand stock. Responsibilities may also include Returned Goods, QA Hold, Expired, Damage and Recalled product in the WMS. May be required to create detailed reports; implement and monitor all procedures and processes as they relate to inventory control. The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. Inventory Administration:

  • Responsible for proper and timely processing/notification of all overages, shortages and damage on inbound shipments, workflow errors and variances.

  • Performs research to validate inventory balances and transactions to ensure timely resolution of receipt discrepancies.

  • Adjustments can include, but are not limited to customer returns, carrier returns, inbound damage, and receipt discrepancies.

  • Gather and analyze data to ensure SAP/WMS transactions requiring correction are completed.

  • Generates a daily inventory reconciliation report (SAP to WMS comparison).

  • Request cycle count to verify OS&D for inbound/outbound discrepancies.

  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.

  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.

  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

  • May be required to train new hires on various warehouse functions.

  • Must adhere to attendance policies.

  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules


Reporting

  • Assists with gathering data for inventory control reports to assist in appropriate corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all inventory adjustments.

Cross-training

  • Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions.

  • Assist as required.

  • Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED (General Education Degree) or 1 year of relevant experience required

Skills & Knowledge

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of a PC with intermediate level of keyboarding skills. Is proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

  • May operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanners.

  • Must have knowledge of inventory and WMS.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers, climbing, lifting over 50lbs.
