Position Summary: The Inventory Technician takes care of the company's inventory needs. The position should be professional in attitude and appearance and engaged in supporting Field Operations needs by providing required materials. The Inventory Technician organizes and secures all inventory, track materials in and out, and proactively ordering new materials before the current stock runs out. This position is responsible for supplying materials to all Mercury Broadband offices and both Field Install Teams and Tower Build Teams. Additionally, the position is responsible for pre-assembly of tower build cabinets, installing routers and batteries before shipping to the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Just in time inventory ordering
  • Tracking materials, scanning and organizing quantities of materials
  • Responsible for ordering all materials and checking into inventory
  • Checking out inventory, packaging, and shipping to other offices
  • Provide Accounting Department inventory information
  • Pre-fabrication and cabling of tower cabinets
  • Accuracy of inventory counts
  • Bench testing of returned equipment
  • Processing return merchandise authorization requests

Skills and Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Windows environments
  • Experience with Office 365 applications including: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Use of PC based applications to program and diagnose various communications equipment
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Skilled in the assembly of equipment and installing rack components
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and change job duties frequently
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical school or relevant experience (A+ certification preferred)
