POSITION: Senior Manager – Inventory Control

LOCATION: Pink Lily Fulfillment Center in Bowling Green, KY

Pink Lily is in search of a qualified Senior Manager – Inventory Control Operations to lead a team consisting of salaried and hourly associates performing processes such as product inventory counts, quality inspection and special projects. This person will be responsible for managing multiple shifts to achieve operational success through development, employee engagement, and leadership mentoring. The right candidate is an experienced leader in the Supply Chain/Logistics industry who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the site-based Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team
  • Own the outbound department and is responsible for its success through managing shipping times, picking accuracy, productivity, safety, costs, and goals
  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day outbound duties of the warehouse employees to ensure proper planning, delegation of work assignments, work prioritization, and labor allocation.
  • Monitor KPIs regarding accuracy and integrity of Quality and Inventory transactions; then, you’ll provide feedback to Operations where necessary
  • Review and analyze customer defect data, while developing corresponding action plans to reduce and eliminate causes of any issues
  • On a daily, weekly and monthly basis: develop and execute action plans for increasing quality, inventory accuracy and service satisfaction.
  • Build up an understanding of fulfilment center inventory systems and processes.
  • Provide assistance and expertise for problem-solving
  • Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
  • Communicate frequently with leaders across the organization to discuss process improvements and ensure efficiency between departments
  • Determine and implement short-term and long-term objectives for all outbound processes across all shifts
  • Participate in recruiting to identify internal and external candidates for promotion and / or hire
  • Assist in producing staffing plans to meet demand that may be predicated by increases to our business volume, peak seasons, or sales events
  • Ensure that an atmosphere of safety and respect for associates exists in our warehouse at all times.
  • Sets clear goals and expectations for direct reports while evaluating staff to provide feedback or corrective action as necessary
  • Mentor and develops leaders and staff
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations
  • Represent and enforce the Company’s core values

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKLLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a direct management role in a manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution environment
  • Experience with organizing large amounts of data, performance metrics and process improvements
  • Previous Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Management experience
  • Experience with WMS software
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and techniques
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgement in stressful situations
  • Proven experience in leadership development and coaching
  • Proven experience in effectively leading an operation of salaried and hourly staff of at least 20 people
  • Uses a proactive versus reactive approach to determine business needs that are affected by changes in volume, staffing, systems, etc.
  • Candidate must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays
