The Opportunity:

As the Campaigns & Content Marketing Manager for Sephora at Kohl’s, you will be responsible for supporting the curation, orchestration, and execution of key campaigns and content stories for Sephora’s newest store-in-store partnership – Sephora at Kohl’s. With 600 stores now open and 250+ more stores on the way, the Marketing Manager will play a critical role on the team to help prioritize the optimal messaging and content mix to reach the S@K client, manage omnichannel campaigns for Sephora brand/product stories, and coordinate with cross-functional and external Kohl’s partners to ensure on-time execution. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role working across a matrixed organization to bring the best of Sephora to life inside Kohl’s and drive growth for this exciting and innovative partnership.


Position responsibilities:

  • Gather and synthesize business performance data, customer insights, and market research to inform marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute 360-degree marketing plans including in-store (e.g. windows, fixtures, collateral), digital (e.g., site, email, social, video), print (e.g., direct mail, circulars), and external/media planning (advertising/paid media, events, PR activations) – driving key campaign milestones from building briefs and asset lists, to creative review
    • Types of campaigns supported: Sephora-led stories, category or product-focused trend stories across Makeup/Hair/Skincare/Fragrances, new Brand or SKU launches, seasonal holiday campaigns, and multi-branded in-store retail fixtures
  • Own end-to-end campaign development for unique Sephora at Kohl’s campaign projects – including new store opening campaigns, new retail store concepts, and product fixtures
  • Understand how to utilize Kohl’s marketing vehicles best and apply Sephora learnings to create a robust, integrated marketing plan – liaising between Sephora and Kohl’s teams to develop asset lists and vehicle plans that best maximize opportunities for Sephora exposure in the Kohl’s environment
  • Manage processes to support integrated marketing calendar planning between Sephora and Kohl’s - developing cross-functional meetings, creating integrated monthly calendars & briefs, and cascading communications internally across Sephora partners
  • Partner with Paid, Social, and Influencer teams to advise on activation strategies based on Sephora best practices and test/learn across different social platforms & ad unit types
  • Build strong reciprocal partnerships in a highly matrixed organization: merchandising, creative, marketing operations, media, social, store marketing, store education, market research, and analytics

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of marketing experience
  • Strong multi-channel marketing skills – ideally with exposure to digital, advertising & paid media, social & influencer marketing, store marketing, or print/direct mail
  • Marketing strategy, marketing planning, or calendar prioritization experience
  • Preferred experience in retail or beauty industries, marketing strategy, or management consulting
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and be a proactive self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team-player mindset and confidence to lead meetings #LI-SCR


The target annual base salary range for this position is $114,000.00 - $127,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
