Growing, family-owned insurance agency in Asheboro is seeking an Insurance Customer Service Representative to service personal lines accounts.

The Cranford Agency is an independent insurance agency that has been in business since 1993 and represents over 20 insurance companies. Agent would work as a CSR servicing a book of business of around $500,000 - $1,500,000 in premium. Pay depends on prior experience, knowledge and amount of premium you would be able to service.

EDUCATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• North Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License (active)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Applicant must have at least (1) year prior experience in the property & casualty insurance field which includes writing and/or servicing insurance accounts.

JOB DUTIES/INFORMATION (include the following but are not limited to)

• Greet customers when they arrive in the office.
• Answer the phone and assist customers with support and route calls to the appropriate agent.
• Work day is from 8:30am-5:00pm.
• (1) hour lunch break provided daily.
• This is a salaried "in-person" position (Not remote).
• Book of business would be personal lines accounts.
• Waiting on customers by taking payments in person and over the phone.
• Make endorsements/policy changes for insureds.
• Meet customers in person and/or discuss on the phone to provide quotes, review policies, answer questions and make policy changes as needed.
• Answer questions about potential claims and report claims directly to insurance carriers.
• Track all customers assigned to agent in our agency management system. (Renewals, quotes, cancellations, etc).
• Assist producers with personal lines quotes for new business.
• This position is not a producer or commission based , but agent would quote some new business from call-ins, customer referrals and producer leads.
• Show a willingness to learn additional insurance concepts and complete onsite training.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
