Help us drive energy transformation on a production basis, performing moderate mechanical assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assembling structures according to engineering specifications, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools.

Hexagon Agility is a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions in the transport sector. Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments – such as trucks and buses – to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.

We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our local operations team.

Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned)
  • Confers with liaison personnel to determine installation priorities.

  • Reads blueprints and engineering specifications to plan chassis layout.

  • Cuts, bends, and trims parts according to layout, using hand tools and portable power tools, such as brakes, electric saws, and grinders.

  • Fits final assemblies onto trucks and routes hoses, tubes, and electrical work inside of chassis.

  • Reworks assembled structures according to engineering specification changes.

  • Verifies symmetry of structures, using measuring instruments.
  • Sets and aligns components to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Fastens components per specifications, torque, and use of measurement tools.
  • Perform standard assembly procedures, perform rework, and repair on manufactured equipment and products.
  • Apply basic mechanical assembly skills.
  • Some hand tools may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • . High School diploma or GED.
  • Candidates should have 2 years related mechanical assembly experience preferably in an automotive or aerospace environment
  • Must have very good understanding of fastening systems, torque, measurements tools and other assembly techniques.
  • Must know how to use different tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a particular area of a production line.
  • Must have previous experience/ability to read engineering drawings.

Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
