Commercial Sign Department - Install Team Member
Monarch DIRECT is a rapidly growing, full-service print shop, graphic design and sign company in Port Charlotte, FL, and we have a full-time position available for an experienced commercial signs installer.
Job Description:
Assist lead installer and team with various commercial sign projects. Must be adaptable and display willingness to work in various environments, weather conditions and ever-changing pace of work. Must have the ability and willingness to learn how to work with various types of material, including but not limited to: vinyl, acrylic, plastic, steel, aluminum, and wood, Must have the experience, or willingness to learn, to assist during the entire installation process, including some fabrication, ground work and final installation.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Able to work safely and proficiently from the ground, on ladders, and with various equipment, including aerial lifts
- Knowledgeable with signpost and footing installation
- Assist with electrical work
- Assist with repair work to diverse types of commercial signs
- Preparation of sign faces – including scrapping and cleaning of existing signs for new vinyl installation
- Ability to work with, or quickly learn, about substrates and vinyl installation
- Assist with substrate prep and sign fabrication
- Assist with window and door lettering installation
- Assist with equipment and vehicle prep for the day
- Assist with completion photos and paperwork associated with the project
Special Requirements and Skills:
- NOT afraid of heights
- In good physical condition
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including in/outside, and in various weather conditions
- Ability to take direction well
- Desire to learn and grow, not afraid to ask questions
- Detail oriented
- Takes pride in work and driven to completing projects on-time and per schedule
- Hard working – not afraid of getting dirty
- Ability to think ahead and react quickly
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass back-ground and drug test
- Team player who cares about each other
