The Big Picture – Top Skills Should You Possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent education requirement
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree preferred
- Five (5) years inspection experience and two (2) years of inspection coordination experience or equivalent experiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Pay Range: $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience
- Performs field inspections as required per the Inspection Plan.
- Reviews protocols, qualification, and validation procedures documented by the organization and follows those procedures
- Develops a database of either third-party inspection agencies or available independent third-party inspectors who are geographically accessible to our major equipment suppliers both in and out of the US.
- Reviews the existing Project Inspection Plans and recommends any changes from the time of the original issuance.
- Coordinates with the Project Team and Global Logistics Team to determine whether in-house personnel or third-party inspectors are best suited for packing inspections.
- Coordinates with Vendors and/or Shipping Agents at the Ports to determine schedules for inspections and to reconfirm exact inspection dates.
- Verifies that proper inspections are performed and further verifies that proper inspection reports are issued.
- Reviews inspection reports, verifies that they are distributed to the appropriate recipients and files them in the MRP System
- Identifies any necessary follow-up activities such as Non-Conformance Reports or Engineering Change Notices and verifies that the appropriate follow-up on corrective actions is satisfactorily completed.
- Assist Inspection Engineer and performance tasks as designated.
- 10-20% short-notice Domestic and/or International Travel is required
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to read drawings as they pertain to inspection criteria
- Organized with attention to detail
- Previous experience in a quality procurement position
