Responsibilities:

Demonstrating a sound knowledge of nursing processes, healthcare systems, and community resources.
Utilizing nursing judgment in decision-making and critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Performing assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
Formulating a goal-directed plan of care, prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcome.
Implementing care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and compassionate manner.
Functioning to establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
Evaluating the effectiveness of the care given by all healthcare team members.
Demonstrating a sound knowledge of ONS and OSHA guidelines, IV therapy, and chemotherapy administration techniques.
Maintaining and demonstrating knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques and medical practice telephone triage protocols.
Collecting and reviewing specimens for analysis, performing daily quality control on instruments, and investigating all out-of-range results.
Requirements:

Active RN license and BLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or infusion therapy.
Proficiency in physical assessment of oncology and hematology patients and all aspects of chemotherapy administration, monoclonal antibody therapy, IV therapy, subcutaneous and intramuscular injection administration.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
