Summary:
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, manage, and maintain system performance,
  • Perform capacity planning for ESX hosts and Virtual Machines and provide recommendations for expansion and growth.
  • Manage processes, systems and infrastructure, leveraging best practices and security.
  • Monitors capacity versus utilization for hardware, system throughput, and licensing.
  • Support and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Virtual Machines and Containers.
  • Develop start-up and shutdown procedures, search for/apply corrective patches to operating systems and application software and develop operational processes/configurations.
  • Plan, organize and control the execution of infrastructure changes and improvement efforts.
  • Expertise across Windows Server and multiple distributions of Linux.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with Virtualization tools such as Vcenter.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux in a large server environment including change and patch management methodologies.
  • Interest in automation tools for provisioning and management of infrastructure.
  • Skill in documentation standards and writing of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
