JOB SUMMARY:

The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for direction, design, approval, and troubleshooting items related to infrastructure services. The Infrastructure Architect will also be responsible for research, documentation, and implementation of software/hardware components along with maintaining high performance, high availability, and secure solutions when delivering the required business solutions. This individual must work well in a team with long-term visions that ensures proper alignment of projects from multiple business units and major initiatives. This role will also promote standard documented configurations, submit and manage change management processes, perform best practices, and actively practice least privilege principals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Infrastructure Architecture, Implementation, and Operations

  • Provide hands-on technical depth. Work on team projects, problem-solving, and group participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.

  • Serve as level-3 escalation point for operations team and assist with problem resolution and root cause analysis as needed.

  • Plan for life and refresh cycles. Ensure that architected solutions work in line with application, network, desktop, server, storage, etc.

  • Responsible for ongoing design and implementations of cloud technology-based solutions to increase Securitas's agility speed to market and efficiency.

  • Continuous review of current environment to detect deficiencies. Recommend, plan, and implement solutions for improvement.

  • Implementation of an automation framework delivering faster time to market and improved stability of all infrastructure components and modernization of the monitoring environment to provide proactive response capabilities.

  • Assist with strategy, develop and execute implementation plans, and oversee the regional and global technical infrastructure, architecture, security systems, and/or related business processes to ensure the reliable implementation and operation of current and new technologies and services.

  • Work with a senior team of highly qualified architects ensuring intra-departmental teamwork, standards, and expectations are achieved.

  • Define, implement, and manage engagement model for collaborating with Enterprise Application, BI, and IT Application support who together will develop integrated business/applications road maps.

  • Collaborate with other IT functions on design, strategy, and standards. Document and publish appropriate infrastructure architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks. Facilitate, communicate, collaborate, and persuade others in defining, adopting, and implementing a coherent technical architecture.

  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

  • Proven experience and an advanced ability to independently make sound and value-add judgment calls in a highly transactional business context.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in efficiently managing, investigating, and improving upon IT systems/resources and project imperatives.

  • Excellent technical skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Windows Server 2012+, Office 365, Onedrive, SharePoint Online, and networking (both LAN and WAN).

  • Proficient in advanced Infrastructure technologies, such as server clustering, Azure, VEAMM, SQL 2014+, Always on Availability Groups, and VMware/vCenter.

  • Experience using monitoring including SCOM and Azure Monitor.

  • Strong experience in design, monitoring, maintenance, trusts, and consolidation of Active Directory environments.

  • Ability to work efficiently with co-workers located in other countries.

  • Advanced PowerShell experience and knowledge.

  • Solid track record of supporting cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) with advanced technology solutions and achieving desired RPO and RTO levels.

  • Experience with OKTA and directory automation tools such as Ms Identity Manager are a plus.

  • Relevant experience supporting Active Directory data feeds from external systems with directory integration and automation.

  • Working with Linux distributions is a plus.

  • Experience in planning, documenting, and migrating large datacenter workloads to IaaS Azure offerings while maintaining a high level of security in micro segmentation of systems securing communications between systems to only those required.

  • Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts, processes, and procedures for deploying services to the cloud.

  • Modernizing IaaS applications when possible to Azure PaaS resources.

  • Experience in Azure environment governance including security center reviews, policy configuration for subscription, and automating/monitoring that all policies are being maintained for all systems.

  • Experience in planning, deploying, and managing Windows Virtual Desktop environments in Azure is preferred.

  • SAN (NetApp), and (Brocade) switch Infrastructure experience is required.

  • Experience working with DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.

Education/Experience:

  • 10+ years of systems infrastructure and architecture experience, preferably within a mid to large sized and diversified financial or professional services organization that operate in a virtualized environment.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc) are preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/IT or IS Engineering/Science is preferred.

  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.

  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Occasional local and regional/national travel for presentations, meetings, and visits.

  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
