Auburn Concrete continues to grow! We are seeking a full-time IT Specialist to cover all 9 of our locations in central, midcoast and southern Maine. The IT Specialist provides direct support to users across the company. They are responsible for coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. This person will work with our network and internet service providers; Systems Engineering and First Light. They will be the conduit between these companies and Auburn Concrete & Auburn Aggregates. They ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems, networks, and data.

Auburn Concrete & Auburn Aggregates is a family-owned business that has been in business for 25 years. We are the largest ready-mix producer in the state with a total of 8 concrete plants located in Auburn, Westbrook(1&2), West Bath, Augusta, Topsham, Damariscotta, and Biddeford and our quarry operated under the name, Auburn Aggregates located on Hotel Road in Auburn.

Job Duties:

· Works with our technology partners to help maintain all hardware and software systems.

· Support of all staff technology needs and issues at company locations through helpdesk calls, walk-ups, telephone requests, email requests etc.

· Workstation maintenance and problem resolution coordinated with our technology partners.

· Will order technology for staff, computers, printers, tablets, and cell phones and assist with installations.

· Will be tasked with learning our on-truck technology systems and will provide support and instruction of said system.

· Conduct I.T. orientation for new employees

· Works with all related software vendors, hardware vendors, ISP vendors, on Project implementation, plan maintenance, plan upgrades, implement changes, customize processes, troubleshooting issues.

· Available during all working hours; from April through November a start time of 6am and December through March a start time of 7am. Availability can be by phone rather than on site but must match hours to the construction industry (not 8am – 5pm). Can be flexible and work with the right candidate but should plan on 6am – 3pm (peak season) and 7am – 4pm (off peak months).

Travel:

Travel between our locations on an as-needed basis

Experience and Skills:

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· Bachelor's degree computer science or technical discipline preferred

· 5+ years’ experience in information technology support

· Experience in the construction field is a plus
