Atrium Health - Carolinas Medical Center, located in Charlotte, NC is looking for an experienced APP with a background either in infectious diseases or hospital-based medicine to join our team.

Job details:

This position provides a flexible inpatient service with limited weekends and phone call coverage in combination with outpatient clinics. 90% of the clinical care is inpatient with 1-2 outpatient clinics per week. Join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to patients with a variety of infectious diseases which includes 2 current APPs.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities will include the management of inpatients with infectious diseases and outpatient follow up. There is an opportunity to participate in outpatient HIV care as well. The work includes daily rounds with both new patient consults as well as follow up visits, progress notes, discharges, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and patient/family education and counseling.

Who you are:

• Experienced APP with at least 2 years of infectious diseases or hospitalist medicine preferred

• Nurse Practitioner – master’s degree or Doctor of Nursing. Practice required. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. Acute Care board certification required based upon population and acuity served.
• Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, master’s degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
