Position: Industrial Apprentice Electrician
Location: Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota (Per Diem Offered)
Salary: ($20-$34/hr) DOE
Here’s what you will be doing:
The Electrician Apprentice learns on the job under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician. The apprenticeship will teach you how to assess and repair electrical problems on industrial job sites. As an Electrician Apprentice, you will complete both hands-on projects on job sites and coursework in a classroom setting. To start, your duties will include basic cleaning and maintenance tasks and progress to more skill-based tasks as you gain experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn from a Journeyman Electrician and complete all assigned duties.
  • Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and assist with electrical repairs.
  • Order replacement parts and equipment as needed.
  • Complete electrical installations and carry out various maintenance duties.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional, courteous manner always.
  • Collaborate with other trades, companies, and crew members.
  • Prepare and clean work areas.
  • Carry and deliver materials.
  • Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit work.
  • Follow safety codes and building regulations.
  • Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Safety Qualifications/Certifications
  • OSHA 10 hours or greater
  • MSHA (encouraged)
  • PEC Safeland (encouraged)
  • Forklift Equipment Certification
  • Aerial Lift Equipment Certification

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
