GP Strategies engages a wide variety of professionals to design and develop performance improvement/marketing programs for automotive OEMs.

We currently have a need for an Automotive Retail Experience Coach/Product Trainer (RX Coach) for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to lead the delivery of in-dealership Coaching, product training, sales process and vehicle launch training. The Coach will work within a regional territory to deliver coaching/training in dealership and in market meetings. The Coach will be responsible for coaching and training frontline dealer personnel to a level that meets Hyundai Retail Experience standards. The Coach will have excellent communication skills with the ability to establish credibility with both dealership management and customer facing dealer personnel. The Coach will work with Dealer Management and be able to partner with Regional Field Staff and fellow GP Strategies In-Dealership Consultants to identify where coaching/training is needed. This requires a well-prepared professional who has a track record of delivering clear, and accurate information in an engaging and enthusiastic manner.

This is a full time, salaried position with benefits. Travel with one home office day per week. Monday-Friday Schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct coaching and training sessions with front-line Dealer personnel in accordance with performance standards & best practice
  • Use proprietary OEM Retail Experience Dashboard to identify focus areas for in-dealership Coaching
  • Identify, document and share potential best practices driving Dealership performance
  • Responsible for product training with a focus on the customer experience and performance support within assigned HMA dealerships
  • Develop and manage schedule to support dealer needs while working with national/regional personnel on direction and priorities
  • Conduct special training assignments—including virtual training sessions—and facilitate large group meetings as required
  • Conduct launch training events as required
  • Conduct on-going product study and competitive reviews
  • Submit schedules, rosters, contact reports and expense reports according to performance standards

The ideal candidate brings the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years automotive retail sales and/or excellent facilitation, presentation and coaching skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus
  • A passion for demonstrating and presenting vehicle product information to dealership personnel
  • Fluency in next-level dealership customer experience
  • Outstanding ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with dealership personnel.
  • Can bring strong leadership skills and desire to change dealership culture
  • Computer literacy, time management and scheduling skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to travel throughout the region up to 80%. Frequent overnight travel is required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 6 years relevant experience.
  • College degree preferred (Associates, Bachelors or military service equivalent) with 3+ years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work—Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Light work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Visual Acuity—May require close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors, and read.
  • May require visual acuity to view surroundings and identify potential hazards to safety while performing essential functions of the job.
  • May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a classroom or other client setting.
  • Visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle.

General Working Conditions

  • Both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Oklahoma City/Little Rock, AR area. No relocation assistance is offered with this position.
