We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and providing guidance to staff on a variety of HR issues. This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to think strategically and proactively.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Implements and annually updates the compensation program with the President and Vice President; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Any and all tasks assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

1. A bachelor's degree and five years of human resource experience, or nine years of experience in the HR field.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

1. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
