Human Resources (HR) Assistant Job at Crescent Regional Hospital

Job Summary Responsible for onboarding, including background checks, drug screens, and license verifications, to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Assists Human Resources Manager with all human resources issues. Acts as a backup person to our PBX operator occasionally.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  • Conduct on-boarding process for new hires.
  • Coordinates with Employee Health on pre-employment paperwork, titer testing, and fit testing as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal/public relations skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to operate concurrently within a variety of hospital systems.
  • Keyboarding skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and establish priorities effectively.
  • Dependable in both production and attendance
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, and organized and function well under stressful situations.
  • Performs background checks and drug screens for all candidates.
  • Maintaining computer systems by updating and entering data accurately.
  • Process and resolve any payroll errors within the system.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Uses accurate, clear, and concise oral and written communication.
  • Maintains a sensitive, fair, and impartial approach to dealing with employees.
  • Interacts with department directors/managers on the timeliness of employee licensure and certification maintenance.
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
