The Human Resources Generalist shares responsibility with one other HR Generalist for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function developing policy, procedures, coordinates HR activities such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, payroll, Administrator of the 401K plan, facilitates the annual ERISA Audit, and employee services. Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and affirmative action requirements in all HR-related matters.
  • Conduct employee orientation and provide support to managers and employees on HR-related topics.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program AAP reports and ensure company is compliant; files EEO-1, and VETS 4212 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to all government regulations; and files certified payroll each pay period.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers on performance management best practices.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Participate in HR-related audits and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Provide support to other HR functions as needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and professionalism.
  • Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or PHR is desired however not required if knowledge has been acquired through experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
