*Retail Wireless organization is looking to add an entry level Human Resources Administrative Assistant to our growing company in Homer Glen, IL!*

The ideal candidate is looking to get into or expand their current knowledge of an entry level Human Resources role. This position will primarily work in the direction of the Director of Human Resources with an immediate concentration within the Recruitment Department. You will be the first contact from when a candidate applies to scheduling the interviews with the interviewing/hiring team as well as creating and perfecting the recruitment process to provide an organized and structured experience for candidates and the hiring team. This role is vital as it will be the immediate impression of our organization and sets the tone for their potential future with our company!

As you perfect your role, additional responsibilities will be provided as this position will be a much needed asset within the Human Resources Department! Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Heavy concentration on recruitment, staffing, talent requisitions (we are looking for someone who can be the OWNER of the Recruitment Department! Your voice, ideas, opinions will be what sets you apart from the rest! Thinking outside the box of how to advertise needed positions to fill and how to find the best candidates for our position is a need!)
  • Interviewing candidates (this responsibility will not be immediately added however as you grow with the company, learn the positions and what we are looking for to fill that needed role, you'll be able to take on those interviews!)
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives (As someone who was a vital part of the recruitment and interview stage, it's only fitting to have that familiar face and name to help with the onboarding and training aspects with someone the candidate, and now new employee, trusts!)
  • Provide support to employees such as internal promotion opportunities, administrative notices (Such as birthday announcements, achievements, special internal experiences available for employees, etc!)
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace (Having a balanced and structured work environment is what every employee needs and you will be important in ensuring employees know what resources are available to achieve this!)
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving assigned issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities (Employee retention is important and what better way than to provide a FUN and REWARDING environment!)
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies (This role will ideally grow into taking over delegated tasks from the Director of Human Resources!)
  • Ability to work with other departments to provide needed administrative support (Great way to grow in a company is to learn the various aspects that make us run!)
  • Ability to work outside of the normal "9-5" to ensure that our retail field team has the support needed and possible travel to retail locations outside of home market (IL/IN) would be desired. (Travel is not a necessity but can be a perk for the right individual! Majority of the work will be performed in the Homer Glen office however ability to visit retail locations to work alongside our employees will help us see a day in the life of the employee which can help us grow our department to better support our team!)

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in recruitment, staffing, talent requisition- able to provide proactive strategies of employee retention and evolving action plans to better the recruitment process
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures and ability to provide input on improvement methods for better streamline and implementation purposes
  • Knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (ADP/Paychex will be a plus) and Google Docs
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Additional HR training or certifications would be a great addition!
  • Experience in the Wireless Industry and/or Retail Industry highly desired
