Primary Purposes:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean, Human Resources & Support Operations performs specialized administrative and data management responsibilities as well as operational support tasks for the San Francisco campus.

Essential Functions:

  • Act as department’s technology specialist and maintain familiarity with all current HR systems; act as point of contact with IT department as needed; develop and produce reports using Banner, Argos, and Human Resources databases.
  • Conduct audits and performs research of data in HRIS system; update data and make corrections as necessary.
  • Collect, compile and analyze human resources data; maintain quarterly reports and audits.
  • Participate in development and updates of user procedures, guidelines, job aids, checklists and training documents; participate in communicating and training new system users.
  • Perform a variety of administrative work to include I-9 verifications, filing drafting/preparing correspondence and email templates, scheduling meetings, and creating presentation material.
  • Assist with new hire, termination, and transfer processes.
  • Create/update department forms and presentations; maintain and produce organizational charts for School of Dentistry.
  • Provide information to managers, employees, applicants, other agencies and the general public; refers questions and issues to appropriate HR staff member as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources staff across campuses; provide coverage for HR staff as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Human Resources & Support Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Advanced functions in Excel (i.e. PivotTables/charts, VLOOKUP, index/match)
  • Principles, practices in human resources.
  • Technical and analytical reporting.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of human resources work experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Position is eight hours per day, five days per week.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Limited travel to offsite meetings or conferences.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Bilingual skills (Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish) helpful.

  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.01 - $31.81 per hour
