$16 - $17 an hour

The Aikens Group and the Hampton Inn by Hilton, Front Royal, are seeking an individual to become a part of an award-winning team. The chosen applicant will be awarded a full-time job with potential growth opportunities in the hotel industry.

The Hotel Houseman is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas of the hotel, inside and outside, and upkeep of the hotel, and assisting guest with the highest quality of customer service. They are a valuable asset to ensuring outstanding guest services and financial profitability.

The responsibilities of maintaining a clean and welcoming environment:

  • Light maintenance - changing lights, assisting the maintenance department in repairs and up-keep of the hotel
  • Outside tasks include, but are not limited to, picking up debris from the parking lot, pulling weeds, and emptying trash cans and ash trays.
  • Clean designated areas inside and outside of the hotel, such as the lobby areas, restrooms, hallways, vending areas, stairwells, elevators, offices, fitness center, pool area, and banquet/meeting/conference areas.
  • Perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning windows.

Qualifications Include:

  • Ability to perform light maintenance, as you will support both the housekeeping and maintenance department.
  • Job is physically demanding. Must be able to bend, move large laundry totes, and remain on one’s feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
